Identities and forms
Having painted about 6 canvases in hot colours and luscious forms stimulated by the intense heat and dryness of June, pushing flowering and fertility to the limit, I'm now cooling down. Landscape 11 is on the way to a return to the palette of "In Shadow". It is perhaps partly about the drying up of things, the fading of colours. The turn from the spurt of growth back towards maturation and dying back.
