I like to either meet or discuss on the telephone or by email to get a clear idea
of what the client is looking for.
Recently I have completed commissions for the following work:
At present I am working on a group of Lapwing and a couple of hares for a client's
garden project. I am keen to undertake some abstract wirework either wall mounted
or free-standing. Enquiries are very welcome.
Once I feel that I understand the nature of the work I will usually be able to send
preparatory sketches. At this stage it may be possible to discuss alterations. I
will then keep clients in touch with progress. In the case of wire sculpture I may
offer images of the work as it forms.
Some clients want to have an idea of the cost. I will do my best to give a rough
idea. It may also be possible to approach this differently if the client wants to
identify a budget within which I need to work. I would then offer an idea of what
I could produce within that.
I normally ask for a deposit of approximately 50% of the work.
Since I keep clients informed with progress and consult at regular intervals I hope
not to be in the situation of work being returned. If this has to occur, I would
like to ensure that both the client and myself achieve a fair outcome in turns of
I refer clients to the Terms and conditions.
